The Blog of Cafe Dissensus Magazine – we DISSENT

Poem: Post-cyclone

By Moinak Dutta

The cyclone has made the difference stark,
Between us,
Those who got pucca houses,
Can block the streets
Demanding electricity,
Internet connection,
Water supply.

And those whose huts disappeared
Did not care to agitate
Their streets vanished too!

So they look around
Like a stupefied lot,
Totally clueless.
